Over the past year, Gramatik played a successful slew of shows on the Age Of Reason Tour, traveling across the U.S. and Europe with sold-out performances in both Athens, Greece and Paris, France. In anticipation of his soon to be released album, The Age Of Reason, Gramatik is kicking off 2014 with brand-new Winter Tour dates to heat up these low temperature nights with his future funk sounds at a variety of cities across North America.
Following his two-night New Year’s Eve run in Chicago, Gramatik will embark on yet another journey, this time through Canada and the Northeast, culminating with two shows in New York at Output on January 21st, and the Best Buy Theater on January 25.
In a recent interview with Only The Beat, Gramatik divulges his groovy Bluestep intentions: “I’m trying to put the M back into EDM. People are forgetting what real music is, like the real disco-funk vibe of the late 70s early 80s. It doesn’t get any better than that. For me personally the disco funk vibe from that era is the best music right now.” That sound is exactly what he smoothly delivers at each of his live shows – a mix of radical funk with an updated danceable feel that makes for a party unlike any other.
As we anxiously await for his highly anticipated album to drop, Gramatik unleashed the third single featuring ExMag and Cherub. “Obviously” is now available as a free download HERE. Gramatik also released “Street Bangerz Volume 4″ (SB#4), a 22 track mix compilation featuring his classic sounds back when he was known for producing raw, sample-based hip-hop beats.
